Why do you waste your time? LOL Like, if you don’t like my page, then stay away from it.

But to clear a few things up… Here’s a little about me…

I’m 22, from New York State. I like A LOT of things. Not just vintage & old hollywood related things. I don’t care if I don’t fit into anything. I’m well aware I’m nothing like 99% of people on tumblr, especially other blogs similar to my own. I never will be….

I decided to make this page like last spring because I was obsessively posting all these kind of posts on my private blog, so I made one for my own sake, not be popular.

I’m not rich, and currently am unemployed, so I don’t go out a lot, and I don’t buy a crap load of vintage related stuff. I do own some of course. & I don’t ever purposely steal images from anyone. These are all things I’ve had for YEARS…or obviously, personal photos. The only time there is ever something on my page that I don’t have to my own name are reblogs…

If you think otherwise then tell me. Because I’ve seriously been collecting all of these things since I was 13…and I don’t remember where I got things back then…

Also, I’m willing to admit that for some things I am a newer fan.

My love for vintage clothes, photography, architecture and things stemmed from my extreme love for History as a child. I was always into that kind of stuff.

My love for classic TV shows (1950s - 1970s) has been there the longest, since I don’t actually remember a time in my life where I didn’t watch these shows. My mother was obsessed with I love Lucy…and it all stemmed from there. My entire childhood was watching all the many different sitcoms of the 50s - 70s….and cartoons from the 30s -70s…. (with the occasional Nick shows, Boy Meets World, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.)

My love for music from the 50s-70s is from my parents. My family is older. My parents were both born in the late 40s, children of the 50s, teens of the early 60s, early 20s of the late 60s, and late 20s and early 30s of the 70s. My mother was a rock chick. My Father was a hippy/country guy.

My love for music from the 20s - 40s  (and even before….) is from my love of history, and the fact that I’ve always been EXTREMELY into music and studied it in school AND was a part of band in school…

My love for all other music comes from my own personal likes and growing up with a sister who is 10 years older then I am.

My Love for old hollywood is the more new thing that I got REALLY into when I was 16. Before that, I had of course watched every single Shirley Temple movie as a kid and The Wizard of Oz. I had also watched the original 10 Commandments movie in FULL thanks to being Catholic. Plus the Christmas classics….and Breakfast at Tiffany’s because my mother was obsessed with that movie. Once I got older I started watching a lot more and it’s just kind of gotten bigger since then.

But i’m not going to sit here and pretend like there might be films I haven’t seen, some I don’t like, and be like I’m amazing.

I also won’t pretend like I don’t like a lot of things out there that I see a lot of hate for.

One of them is I am a huge Katy Perry fan, Katycat all the way and I don’t really care what anyone thinks of it because I’ve been a fan of hers since before she was famous, thanks to my myspace days. LOL

I also am really into things like, Ghost Adventures (And the Paranormal HUGE believer…), History, WWII era, Vietnam War era (because of my father), Jonas Brothers (YES, STILL. SINCE I WAS 15), Vampire Diaries (and vampires..i’ve loved them my hole life<3), reading about witchcraft both real and fictional (I am not a witch, but I have a lot of respect for people who are), Harry Potter, Craig Ferguson (MY PRESENT DAY HERO, FOREVER AND ALWAYS), among many others.

These are not usually fandoms associated with this and I don’t care.

I also have a strong love for the bands Placebo and Nine Inch Nails.

my interests are ALL over the place, i refuse to ever just stick with one genre of music, or movie, or whatever.

I hate that.

I prefer my shitzophrenic ways.

Also, I love 1970s television way too much. Little House on the Prairie is probably my all time favorite tv show that has ever existed. plus the books. Plus Laura Ingalls Wilder is one of my heros. Plus I’m from the town where Almanzo Wilder was born and raised. The Waltons is my 2nd all time, then Happy Days. and the list does go on. and I am crazy.

THIS IS WHO I AM, this is the only post I will ever make like this, ever. I try to be a nice person, and I don’t care about fan wars or any non-sense that people on here care about; and now with all of this being said, I don’t think of myself any certain way, except that I am me, and as my friend once told me, when I asked him what he thought about me , [you are] I am a Kayla. That is all.
